CQtober 2024 - Day 11, Chained Feather Stitch

Chained Feather Stitch is seam #11!  I enjoyed stitching this one.  

I used a size 8 variegated thread from Valdani for this one. In hindsight, I wished I had switched the direction of the thread as I think the contrasts would have shown up a bit better.  But It still turned out lovely!  

The trick to stitching this one, is to thread under the straight stitch before completing the chain/lazy daisy portion of the stitch.  That's what makes it look like it's all connected together.   I added French knots in a gold thread to finish the seam.
