CQtober 2024 - Day 10, Triple Feather Stitch

 Editing challenges have meant that this video is not yet up on YouTube, but I thought I'd write the post anyway.  Hopefully it will be up soon.  

Seam 10 is triple feather stitch.  There are an endless variety of ways to stitch this one. I chose to go with a fairly traditional version.  Starting this one can be a challenge.  I usually start with the middle stitch in a stretch of triples, letting it straddle the seam.  Well, at least that's what I attempted!  Going around a curve like this meant that I had to vary the angle of the rows, wider on the outside, and narrower on the inside.  

Then I added French knots and lazy daisies, offsetting them so they are optically centered.  

It turned out well!
